Giulia Gr is an Italian visual artist based in Berlin. Focusing mostly on photography,

video art and multimedia installations, her inspiration is driven by everyday life, bonds

with others and vulnerability as a whole.

I’m fascinated with the concept of archiving and have always been obsessed with

keeping a record of my emotions. As much as a written journal I consider my visual

diary as a ‘safe container’ where I can vomit my feelings, be exposed and unburden a

heavy heart. Unbalanced mental health, intimacy, fear and relationships: I uncover my

vulnerability and wear it as a strong armor.

Perpetually attracted to the rawness of bodies and their gentleness, I use my own body

as a tool for self discovery and expression. I own its narrative, I mold it, I reinvent it.
