STUDIOS 94 offers three self-led residency programs to fit different creative needs, with space for three residents per month. Our building is located directly in the city centre of Chiang Mai, next door to an art supply shop, and spans over five floors. It includes an art gallery, workshop space, coworking areas, artist and creative studios, balconies, a rooftop, and other shared facilities—giving you access to both inspiring social spaces and calm, personal areas.

Visa
Foreign artists planning to join our 3-month art residency in Thailand will typically need a Non-Immigrant Visa O or a Non-Immigrant Visa B, depending on their purpose and activities. These visas allow for extended stays and may require additional documentation, such as an invitation letter from our art space. Artists on a Tourist Visa can also stay for up to 60 days, extendable for an additional 30 days.
Selling artwork or conducting business activities for any foreigners is not permitted by Thai law.

This residency program is ideal for writers, poets, designers, illustrators, digital artists, content creators, and creative researchers — especially those who work primarily from a laptop, sketchbook, or portable materials.
Whether you’re starting a new idea, editing a manuscript, or simply seeking uninterrupted time to focus, the Creative Living Residency offers the perfect balance of independence and creative community.




















The Creative Living Residency includes a private bedroom equipped with a desk and shared bathroom access.
You’ll have full access to all shared community spaces, including the coworking area, kitchen, lounge, and rooftop.
Daily cleaning, high-speed WiFi, and all utilities are included in your residency fee.
Residents receive a discount on in-house workshops and have the opportunity to host an optional open day or workshop during their stay.
Each resident is also featured and promoted across STUDIOS 94’s platforms, offering added visibility during and after the residency.

The residency fee is 42,000 THB per month, approximately €1,122.64 EUR or $1,268.88 USD.
A one-month deposit is required to confirm your booking.
Deposit & Cancellation Policy:
The deposit secures your residency placement and is non-refundable in the event of cancellation.
Refund of Deposit:
Upon successful completion of your residency, the deposit will be returned within 14 days, provided there are no damages to the property or outstanding balances.
Additional Costs:
Please note that the residency fee does not cover travel expenses, visa arrangements, meals, or personal costs. Art materials and equipment are not included and should be brought or sourced by the artist. Residents are also responsible for arranging their own travel, health, and artwork insurance.

Residencies run for a minimum of one month and a maximum of three months, with flexible start dates.
Applications are accepted year-round.
We welcome up to three residents each month to maintain a supportive, focused, and community-driven atmosphere.
